Umami Eyewear is an independent eyewear brand born in London in 2026. At a time when spectacle making has become an increasingly rare and endangered craft in England, Umami is committed to preserving and celebrating traditional frame-making through a slow, hands-on approach.
Each frame is handcrafted from start to finish using premium Italian acetate and fitted with high-quality lenses, combining exceptional materials with meticulous craftsmanship. Every piece is made to order, ensuring that no two frames are exactly alike. Alongside the collection, Umami offers a bespoke service, creating unique eyewear tailored to the individual.
The brand was born from a desire to return to manual work and to prioritise time, process, and craftsmanship in an increasingly fast-paced world.
